Broomfield Colorado is located in the newest Colorado County-Broomfield County, Colorado which was formed by statue in November 1998. Broomfield Colorado was originally called Zang's Spur and was founded in 1877. The town of Zang's Spur was named after A.J. Zang, the owner and founder of Zang's Brewery. The name changed around 1900 to Broomfield because of the volume of "broom corn" being grown in the area.

Today, Broomfield Colorado boast over 70,000 residents and is still growing. Broomfield is nestled between Denver and Boulder. Broomfield is surrounded by other cities including Denver CO, Westminster CO, Lafyatte/Louisville CO and Thornton CO.
